Anthony L. Salvitti, Jr. MAI, SRA, MRICS

SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR

Tony joined Benchmark Appraisal Group in 1983. He has since become senior managing director, responsible for the direction of the Company. He graduated from La Salle University with a degree in marketing but has been actively engaged in real estate valuation and consulting since he graduated. Tony is a Certified General appraiser and licensed Real Estate Broker, who also holds the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute, along with the MRICS designation from The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Tony focuses on all segments of real estate appraising, ranging from small residential properties to large resort-type properties. His primary focus is on both residential and commercial properties, which include: retail, offices, industrial, multi-family, and shopping centers. Tony is also an expert in special-purpose-type properties, including schools, churches, car washes, etc. He provides appraisals for condemnation purposes, estate planning, tax appeal, diminution in value claims, equity participation, acquisition/disposition counseling, Marital Disposition, and litigation support.

Anthony L. Salvitti, Sr. SRPA, SRA

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Anthony started Benchmark Appraisal Group in May of 1970, with an emphasis on appraising all forms of real estate in both Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. He entered the appraising business in 1960, working in the appraisal review department for the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority. In 1965, he moved to Director Associates, an urban planning firm, and represented Redevelopment Authorities in their land acquisition programs in Eastern Pennsylvania. Anthony is a certified Pennsylvania General Real Estate Appraiser and has been since the inception of the licensing program. He also carries a Senior Real Property Appraiser (SRPA) designation, along with a Senior Residential Appraiser designation (SRA). He currently assists in the operation of Benchmark Appraisal Group and the continuation of its appraisal services.

Anthony’s background also includes being the past president of The Society of Real Estate Appraisers, Philadelphia Chapter, 1980-1981. 

Scott W. Frymire

SENIOR APPRAISER

Scott Frymire is a licensed real estate appraiser in the state of New Jersey. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in real estate. It was only after his service in the military that he joined the real estate industry in sales and then transferred to corporate relations. Scott has been a part of The Benchmark Appraisal Group for forty+ years and has virtually performed appraisals on all types of properties.

Carrie A. Gallo

ANALYST

Carrie has been with the Benchmark Appraisal Group team since 2016. She is a Pennsylvania Licensed Appraiser Trainee. Carrie began her work in the appraisal industry in the spring of 2016. Carrie is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She worked in the Marketing field for 12 years before pursuing a career in real estate appraising. Carrie is working toward her General Certification and focusing her efforts on commercial properties.

Robert Ketler

CERTIFIED GENERAL APPRAISER

Robert is one of the newest members of the Benchmark Appraisal Group team.  He is a Pennsylvania Certified General Appraiser. Robert began his work in the appraisal industry in the summer of 2018, shortly after graduating from college and completing his 6-year contract with the Pennsylvania National Guard.  Robert is a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with a real estate concentration. Robert has obtained his General Certification and has future aspirations of becoming a designated member of the Appraisal Institute, focusing on commercial properties.

Dominic Mancino

CERTIFIED GENERAL APPRAISER

Dominic has been associated with Benchmark Appraisal Group for over 6 years, having joined in March 2018. He is now State Certified as a General Appraiser. He studied Business Administration at Drexel University. Dominic worked for TD Bank’s SBA & Commercial loan team for a five-year period after attending college. He later went on to become a PMI/MIP Specialist for a mortgage company, a year prior to joining the Benchmark group.  

Dominic’s primary focus is performing Residential and Commercial Appraisals alongside Tony Salvititi Jr. on the commercial side.

Erin Walter

CERTIFIED GENERAL APPRAISER

Erin joined the Benchmark team in October 2022 as a Certified General Appraiser. Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Erin obtained a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and began her journey through the real estate industry as a mortgage processor. In 2017, Erin moved to Florida in pursuit of sunshine and palm trees. It was there that she shifted her focus to real estate appraisals and obtained her general certification. Upon moving back to the Philly area in 2021, Erin was also able to obtain certification in Pennsylvania. Her experience includes both residential and commercial property types.  

Matthew McCabe

ANALYST

Matthew joined Benchmark Appraisal Group in April 2014, but has been associated with the real estate business since 1997. Matthew currently holds the “Trainee License” from the State of Pennsylvania and continues to work towards certification. Matthew is a well-seasoned professional who continues to grow and expand his knowledge of the industry. Matt works closely with the Appraisers, handling “backroom” research and accompanying the Appraisers’ on-site visits.

William Young

CERTIFIED GENERAL APPRAISER

William is the newest member of the Benchmark Appraisal Team.  He is a senior set to graduate in spring 2021 from the Fox School of Business at Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate.  He first became interested in real estate while traveling the country and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.  William is excited to start his commercial real estate appraising career and continue his education in the field while working towards appraising certifications.

Jaie Woltjen

CERTIFIED RESIDENTIAL APPRAISER

Jaie Woltjen is a Certified Residential Appraiser with over 19 years of experience in the field. After working with major banks early in her career, she went on to establish her own appraisal business. Jaie serves Bucks County, Montgomery County, and the surrounding areas. She is also trained in ANSI standards for measuring homes, ensuring accuracy and consistency in her reports. Beyond real estate, Jaie holds a first-degree black belt in mixed martial arts—a testament to her discipline and drive. She’s also a proud mom of two energetic boys, ages 11 and 13, and a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. Go Birds!

Gene Soda III

CERTIFIED RESIDENTIAL APPRAISER

Eugene Soda III has been a part of the Benchmark team since March 2023 as a Certified Residential Appraiser. He has been a Certified Residential Appraiser since 2005; however, he had been a trainee since 2000 until 2005. Eugene obtained his bachelor's degree from Temple University in 2001. When joining Benchmark, the decision was made to expand into the commercial appraising world and start to work towards obtaining a General Certification. Eugene has experience in just about every type of Residential property in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. He has worked independently as a contractor as well as a Staff Appraiser for various firms over his career. He also holds Delaware and New Jersey Residential certified licenses.  He has 25 years of expertise in residential property types, while now adding to that knowledge some expertise in commercial property types.

Michele Brennan  

SENIOR APPRAISAL COORDINATOR

Michele Brennan has worked with Benchmark Appraisal Group since November, 1989, and has become very knowledgeable in all aspects of the processing of quality appraisal reports.  She also handles daily tasks and duties of the office that are required to have the appraisal process working efficiently and productively.  She is well organized when it comes to having the office functioning smoothly and successfully.  Her main goal for the company is to have the appraisal reports transmitted to the clients in a professional and timely manner.  She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, French Bulldog, Blue & Gold Macaw, and watching sports, especially the Flyers.

Caryn A. Silver

APPRAISAL COORDINATOR

Caryn has been with Benchmark Appraisal Group since June, 2016. Caryn is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's Degree in the Hospitality Industry. Caryn has a strong background in customer service, her background includes positions with both the Choice Hotel chain and Lexus Automotive Group.

Tia Fetterman

JUNIOR APPRAISAL COORDINATOR

Tia is the newest member of the Benchmark Appraisal Group team. Eager to learn and grow within the company, Tia assists with preparing appraisal reports and contributes to the efficient workflow of the office. With a commitment to professional development and excellence, Tia looks forward to advancing in the organization and providing value to clients and colleagues alike.

Kathryn Butler

GENERAL MANAGER

Kathryn has been associated with Benchmark Appraisal Group for more than 30+ years. Kathryn had started out as an assistant but quickly moved to Appraisal Processor. She now heads the accounts payable department as the controller and is involved in all aspects of the business side of Benchmark Appraisal Group. Her previous experience was in the mortgage business as a processor.
